EXERCISE 30
Create a symbolic icon using shape and
color. You might visit a landmark of your
town or city, or work off a photograph of
the landmark of a place you would like to
visit one day.
Look for the main structure of the icon.
In the painting at left, Dominick has
reduced the amount of detail in the Eiffel
Tower, choosing to focus on the main
shape and the height. Any color is fine: The
bolder, the better!
